Cancer Advisor is a website that curates useful, high quality information about childhood, teenage and young adult cancer. It aims to cut through of a lot of the online clutter, so families and young people can quickly and easily find reliable information about a variety of subjects. To find out more, read About Cancer Advisor including how to register or submit a feedback form.

Cancer Advisor is an Australian site for anyone who has been affected by a child or young person’s (up to 24 years) cancer. This includes parents of children with cancer, teenagers and young adults who have had a diagnosis, siblings, partners, grandparents, friends, health professionals, teachers, employers and colleagues.

The Cancer Advisor team wants you to have all the information you need in one place. Rather than endless internet searches, you’ll be able to find up-to-date information and support on everything from treatment methods for your cancer type, to dealing with school, to tips from other parents – all on one site.

With a combination of medical information and real life wisdom from people living with a child’s cancer, Cancer Advisor will grow as more people contribute information that they’ve found helpful. All content is checked by our team and our moderators ensure that content comes from reputable and trustworthy sources, and that any medical information is evidence-based.

This how-to-get started video will show you how to search, login and register for updates. To find information, enter specific keywords in the search bar on the home page. Or click on the magnifying glass on the top right hand corner of each page. To comment you’ll need to register.
