Burkitt's lymphoma at 15 — Cameron's story

Redkite and jimmyteens.tv have created a video interview with 20-year-old Cameron who has been in remission from Burkitt’s lymphoma for the last five years. Cameron was diagnosed at 15. For two weeks he was feeling unwell with headaches, nausea, cold sweats and weight gain before he went to the doctor. “The doctor said my white cell count was pretty horrible,” he says in the video.

He went to his local hospital in Redlands. “They had a fair idea it was leukaemia but they wouldn’t tell me at first, they thought I would have a bad reaction to it.” After going into a coma, the doctor diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma.
