    Dear Melanoma is a blog written by Emma Betts who was diagnosed with melanoma at aged 22. She called her writing an “authentic glimpse into the roller coaster that is life with Stage 4 Melanoma – the highs, the lows, and the in between.” Emma died in April 2017. You can also watch the Australian Story documentary Dear Emma on the ABC website.     On the Cancer Council website Samantha tells the story of her treatment experience for melanoma which lead to lifelong condition of lymphoedema. She was only 23 when she was first diagnosed, so went on to access services with organisations such as Cancer Council, Redkite and Melanoma Patients Australia (Queensland branch).
